Anthropic's initial public offering filing, submitted to the SEC according to TechCrunch, highlights a strategy for growth within existing enterprise customers. More than half of customers spending at least $100,000 a year reportedly now use both the Claude platform and one of the company's applications, such as Claude Code or Cowork. That proportion was around 30% at the end of the previous year.
As of September 30, Anthropic reported more than 11,900 customers spending at least $100,000 a year. These figures, reported by TechCrunch from the filing, describe the adoption claimed by the company. They do not constitute an independent measure of the value customers obtain.
The commercial benefit of this combination is clear: an account using the platform may also adopt the applications. Anthropic presents integration between models, the platform and applications as a driver of this adoption. The analysis remains conditional, however: using several products may strengthen a commercial relationship, but does not prove that the customer would have difficulty switching providers.
The filing also points to a tension with distribution partners. Amazon, Google and Microsoft could prioritize their own computing needs or those of competitors in which they have invested. The strategy for commercial expansion therefore remains tied to access to the infrastructure needed to serve this demand.
